STREET ROLLER-SKATING CAUSES ONLINE STIR IN CHANGSHA

At about 11:30pm last night, 28th October, a large swathe of street rollerskaters and rollerbladers were spotted along the busy Shaoshan Avenue in Changsha causing a n online stir about their own safety as well as that of surrounding traffic. This prompted a police response along the lines of "Street rollerblading is a violation, creating a huge traffic accident risk." The fourth paragraph of Article 74 clearly states:. "Pedestrians shall not use skateboards, roller skates and other tools on the glide path" to uphold other people's safety. The group are unknown and have been spotted in the past in other parts of Changsha.
